Achaval Ferrer
WTG PickAbout
Founded in 1998 by a group of Italian and Argentine wine lovers, Achaval Ferrer quickly became the reference point for single-vineyard old-vine Malbec in Mendoza. Their Finca Altamira, Finca Bella Vista, and Finca Mirador wines come from vines 70-100 years old at elevations between 950 and 1,100 metres. The cellar in Lujan de Cuyo is compact and welcoming, a stark contrast to the grand estates of the main tourist drag.
