Casa Valduga
About
Founded in 1875 by Italian immigrant Luigi Valduga and now in its fifth generation, Casa Valduga is one of Brazil's most celebrated family wineries. Located in the Vale dos Vinhedos — the first Brazilian wine region to receive a DOC designation — the winery is particularly known for its sparkling wines made by the traditional Champagne method, as well as Merlot and Tannat reds that reflect the Serra Gaúcha's unique terroir.
Why It's a Hidden Gem
A fifth-generation family winery that helped establish Brazil's first DOC — the underdog sparkling wine story that serious fizz lovers should know.
