About

De Morgenzon (The Morning Sun) is one of South Africa’s most idiosyncratic estates. Owner Wendy Appelbaum plays baroque music through speakers in every vineyard block — a commitment born from the belief that the vibrations improve vine health. The science is debatable; the wines are not. Their Reserve Chenin Blanc and DMZ white blend are among the finest produced in the Western Cape, combining Old World restraint with the intensity of South African sunshine.
